Buffalo Grove, Ill. (August 8, 2005) - International Profit Associates (IPA-IBA) Executive Director of Survey Services Tyler Burgess has been nominated for The Business Ledger’s "Today’s Young Executive" award.

Today's Young Executives (TYE) award honors business leaders who have achieved a high level of business management before they've turned 40. Nominees are judged on their business prowess and their dedication to community service. The TYE awards will be presented on September 15 at an evening recognition reception attended by more than 200 local business leaders.

The Business Ledger is the premier business newspaper for Chicago suburbs. It provides essential, practical, hands-on business news. Burgess joined the IPA-IBA marketing department in 1997 while attending Lake Forest College. Two years later, he was promoted to assistant zone manager of the marketing department and shortly after was awarded the position of zone manager. In this position, the department broke sales records. In 2000, Burgess was given an additional zone to manage. The following year, he graduated from Lake Forest College and was promoted to Director of Business Coordination where he was responsible for managing 300 employees. In 2002, he was promoted to the position of director of sales and marketing. Responsibilities included managing both the lead generation of business coordinators and the IPA-IBA sales operation which included 300 field sales representatives throughout the United States and Canada, as well as 50 inside sales representatives. In January 2005, Burgess was promoted to his current position of Director of Survey Services where he manages more than 250 senior business analysts who consult more than 450 businesses each week. His awards include Rookie of the Year, Manager of the Year and Highest Increase of Productivity. Recently, Burgess was appointed to International Profit Associates Board of Directors.
