IPA Charities supports the Dr. Edward A. Crown Scholarship Dinner

Buffalo Grove, Ill. (April 5, 2007) - IPA Charities, the charitable foundation of IPA, contributed $15,000 to the Ida Crown Jewish Academy (ICJA) to support the Dr. Edward A. Crown Scholarship Dinner at the Hyatt Regency in Chicago.

The funds raised for the dinner will benefit ICJA’s Scholarship Campaign, allowing the school to respond to an increasing number of scholarship requests. Last year alone, the Academy provided over half the student body with financial assistance, totaling over one million dollars. It is the Academy’s mission to ensure that every student who so desires can receive the excellent Judaic and General Studies education offered at ICJA.

The dinner is to celebrate 65 years of excellence in education. Award recipients include: Mr. Nathaniel I. Grey--on behalf of The Bernard Heery Family Foundation Scholarship Program for the Board of Governors Award, Mr. Ariel Zamarripa for the Educator of the Year Award and Mrs. Michla Schanowitz for the Torah V'Chesed Award.

Ida Crown Jewish Academy is a co-educational Modern Orthodox high school that creates an environment conducive for the intellectual and emotional growth of each student and affords them opportunities necessary for self-actualization. They are dedicated to a path of excellence in education, emphasizing high ethical standards, a commitment to Chesed and a love for Medinat Yisrael. ICJA seeks to inspire Bnei Torah to become contributing members to society.
